The History


Built in 2001 and located at 7115 Staples Mill Rd, the ComedySportz Improv Theatre (formerly known as the Comedy Alley) is Richmond's only improv theatre and is also the home of ComedySportz, Richmond's longest running improv show.

In addition to ComedySportz, over the past 5 years, the CSz Improv Theatre has produced seven musical movie parodies including "The Musical Matrix," "Empire Rocks Back," and "Pop Fiction," and has been home to a number of different shows and sketch groups.

The CSz Improv Theatre is a smoke-free venue that can seat approximately 100 people. We offer a fun, eclectic menu for most of our shows and serve a variety of domestic and imported beers. Visit our menu for more information.
