IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL STUFF
• Yes, this is a competition. Yes, there will only be one winner. Yes, you can brag about it as if it was the NCAA. But please know - ComedySportz is a supportive, team style of improv, and we strongly believe that the competitive part of our shows, including this tournament, is ONLY a part of the show itself, and does not leave the stage. Offstage, no matter who wins, we are all putting on the same show together, and we plan to celebrate together as a large group of improvisers first and foremost. Friendly competition is awesome. Watching and performing with a bunch of improvisers whom you would never know otherwise is significantly awesomer. If you agree with that spirit, then we want you at our tournament!
• We will provide hotel suggestions to our out-of-town troupes. Looking for the best rates we can possibly get!
• ComedySportz is always an all-ages show. All troupes will be asked to follow the rules of the ComedySportz format, including keeping it clean. We're not asking for a kids show, but we are asking to keep in mind that kids are always there.
• We may schedule a midnight jam so all of our visiting improvisers can play with each other. On stage, that is.
• There will be ONLINE BRACKETS posted once we have the teams established. You can get your friends excited about the whole event by having them submit their brackets for prizes! (it won't be for money - that's gambling, and this is Virginia. Why, we just don't do that kind of thing here.)
