ComedySportz University Intro to Improv Training Series

Our CSzU introductory workshops emphasize basic improvisational skills by exploring spontaneity, staying in the moment, risk-taking (getting out of your comfort zone), finding the story within the scene, developing characters, and other fun stuff in a relaxed and supportive environment.

We offer classes for everyone, no matter what age you might be! From upper elementary school all the way to retirees, our classes are custom fit for the learning styles of each age group and designed to ensure that everyone gets the most of of their experience!

Facilitated by a seasoned ComedySportz professional, the participants are led through various improv activities and games that work on and incorporate the skills that are used in improvisational comedy, including focus, concentration, teamwork, space work (using your environment in scenes), trust and scene work. You will learn to be fearless and have fun on stage! You'll even learn some ComedySportz improv games! Laughter and positive vibes are guaranteed.

Year-round, we provide a safe environment where participants are encouraged to take chances and stretch their skills in short form, long form and various styles. And, our ComedySportz University courses help lay the foundation of the improv training needed for any of our CSz Leagues!


Little League and Middle School League Classes

At ComedySportz we don't teach kids how to be funny, we teach them how to ACTT! We focus on the improvisation principles of Attitude, Commitment, Teamwork, and Trust. Through these lessons our students learn to perform with each other, connect and accept offers. They learn creative thinking and problem solving, teamwork, leadership, decision making, and more. As a result students gain self confidence and respect, all while learning how to laugh with our mistakes and move on.

ComedySportz Little League Training Classes for 4th & 5th Graders
There are no training classes available for our Little League elementary school level this Spring, but be sure to register your kids for our summer Improv Camp for Kidz!

Adult Level Improv Classes
